Nutrition Month Musings of a Dietitian

Nutrition Month Musings of a Dietitian

Happy Nutrition Month!  In case you haven’t heard, March is Nutrition Month and Registered Dietitians actually get an entire “Dietitian’s Day” devoted to their profession on March 20th – YAY!  So let’s celebrate! Instead of writing a more traditional “Nutrition Month” blog, which focuses on a healthy eating theme, I thought it might be more interesting to write about some of my reflections on actually being a Dietitian.

National Dietitian Day: what do dietitians REALLY do?

National Dietitian Day: what do dietitians REALLY do?

Did you know that March 14th is National Dietitian Day?! Well you know now! Dietitians under the microscope

I googled "dietitian" today and received 20.7 million hits! Cheers to that! Registered Dietitians are finally getting on the map!

However, there are still SO many people who don't REALLY know what we do - who perhaps think that we are drill sergeants who prescribe strict weight loss diets for all!
